Vicki J. Schaeffer, a native of Salem, Ohio, is Director of Music/Organist at St.Thomas More University Parish in Norman, OK. She is also the Senior Educational Consultant, College Planning Services, for Campus to Career Crossroads, a consulting firm based in Pittsburgh. This continues her teaching/counseling career in which she served in both high schools and universities. A church organist since the age of 14, she has held positions in Ohio, Indiana, Hawaii, and Oklahoma. She holds a Doctor of Music degree from Indiana University with a double major in organ performance and church music, where she was a student of Marilyn Keiser. She also holds a Master of Music degree from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Mount Union College. She recently completed serving for four years as the National Councillor for Membership for the American Guild of Organists, where she oversaw the Committee on Career Development and Support and the Committee on Membership Development and Chapter Support. Represented by Concert Artist Cooperative, she maintains an active workshop and recital schedule.
